WHAT COACHES ARE SAYING

Alyssa Maes is a dedicated, persevering young woman who holds herself with confidence and poise under pressure. I have coached Alyssa for 4 years and it was always a pleasure.  Throughout that time I saw a tremendous amount of growth and improvement because of her continual hard work, perseverance, and love of the game.

Dedication is a quality that Alyssa does not lack. She was always one of the very first players on and off of the court before and after practice. Throughout practice Alyssa asked questions, responded to feedback, and encouraged her teammates. She was also dedicated to her team and had relentless determination. Constantly, Alyssa would encourage her teammates when things

were and were not going well. I could count on her to improve the level of play by working hard rather than letting the struggles overcome her and her team. I often assigned books and writing assignments to which Alyssa was always the first to not only the first to turn in but also write eloquent well thought out answers.

From the start I recognized all of the persevering traits that she possesses. Not only does she want to improve her performance daily, but she is a wonderful athlete who will do anything you ask of her. Throughout our time I had the pleasure of watching this young woman grow and improve tremendously as a person and as a basketball player. Alyssa is a hard-working, determined, team player and has my highest recommendation.
